"It was my first visit to the Northside Produce Markets, and it was such an absolute treat. It was very easy to get to by public transport with the markets located just a few minutes' walk from the Miller St North exit of the Victoria Cross Metro station. It is also not too far of a walk from the nearby bus stops or North Sydney train station as well.
There were many nuggets of golden finds with a good variety of stalls available. Highlights for me:
- Friendly stallholders for the ones I visited today.
- There was a stall that sold padron peppers & shishito peppers that i have not seen in other fruit & vegetables shops or markets
- The very decent coffee from the Toby's Estate stall.
- The Hearthe stall that had beautiful baked goods using native ingredients
- The variety of stalls as a whole for the market but also the variety in catering for different dietary requirements like gluten free, vegetarian and vegan
- Well spaced and good layout of stalls around the park
- Tables and chairs for patrons to sit and enjoy food & drinks.
- The stalls I patroned accepted cash or card.
- The availability of fresh food, drinks and flowers.
I would definitely be back again for the upcoming markets and looking forward to them."
