"Today we had a fantastic time learning about the history of Parramatta and the early days of colonization with Nathalie. The museum is wonderfully maintained, and you really get to experience what life was like 200 years ago! It felt like we were walking through history with our tour guide sharing so many interesting stories. The furniture and kitchen items we saw are the actual pieces from that time, which makes it even more special. Learning about the Macarthur family gave us great insights into the history of Parramatta and Sydney. It was such an enjoyable and informative day!
the museum is running by volunteers and our today’s guide was Nathalie. Although she was young but she has a good understanding about the history of the house and the city and her comments about the furniture and items in the house made our visit more enjoyable. Just a heads up If you bring cash it’s much easier to pay for the visit."
