"A lovely low cost camp surrounded by beautiful forest and a few walking trails leading to the Dam and the Arboretum which are both dog friendly. The sites are a good size and great for solar as most of them are free from overhanging trees.
The ranger comes daily to check everything is ok and have a chat. There are drop toilets and firewood is supplied or at least it was when we were there but best to bring your own just incase, no potable water. There is a beautiful little stream behind some of the campsites and is crystal clear. If you are self contained this is a must do when in the area."

"Fabulous place to stay. Pay for your camp fees (very reasonable) at the Parks & Wildlife Office in town. Nice shady sites and friendly camp neighbours. We enjoyed afternoon happy hour beside the camp fire. The dam is just down the road. Plenty of photo opportunities surround. Well worth it to camp here."
