Reviews Summary

Pig Island is appreciated as a peaceful, natural spot perfect for leisurely walks and dog exercise. Visitors enjoy the riverside setting and open grassy areas, though it's noted as a simple destination without extensive facilities.

"A small island nestled on the Mersey River just on the outskirts of Latrobe. It is adjacent to Bells Parade (riverside park), Sherwood Hall (historic home) and an Axe Museum (and coffee shop). Pig Island is nothing special but does offer a tranquil stroll though a treed area, riverside that appears very popular with local fishermen, by the number we passed this morning. It also provides a large grassed area for exercising dogs. Suggest it would also be a likely area to observe platypus at dusk or dawn."
