What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company for its incredible aroma and vast selection of delicious Belgian chocolates and fudge, with the chocolate-making window being a highlight. However, some find the prices high and the experience leans more towards a boutique shop than a factory, with occasional feedback on service and limited seating.
"Located at 2320 Broke Road, Pokolbin, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺
This was unexpected fabulous find on a day out to the nearby markets. There’s not just a wide range of delicious chocolate and lollies but also chilli jams and sauces, nuts, fudge, a great little cafes where you can enjoy delicious cakes and coffee or other drinks. You can sit inside and also out on the veranda overlooking the gorgeous view. There’s a fantastic window where you can see the chocolate being made and you can also book a tasting of the fine chocolate for a fee of $5.00. There is so much to look at , a huge selection and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Eager to answer any questions and help in any way. I would most definitely recommend visiting, a huge thumbs up from me! 👍👍 Bring your money though because I can guarantee you won’t walk away empty handed ."

"Quite an extensive range of chocolate on offer in a large hall shaped room with the workshop. Pricing on product is quite high though its artisan chocolate made onsite and the products are delicious but the ice cream in the packets are simply boring, get rid of them."

"Nice spot with a good look ✨ and it smelled unreal inside 🤤🍫—proper chocolate heaven 😍. But honestly, felt more like a boutique shop 🛍️ than an actual chocolate factory 🏭. Bit too much random stuff 🧼🍯 from other brands 🏷️, would’ve been better if they stuck to selling their own 💯.
Seating was almost non-existent 🪑🚫 which made no sense 🤷—massive missed opportunity 🌅 with that view outside 🌳☕. Coffee shop didn’t have a clear menu 📋❌, and the whole vibe inside was kinda flat 😶🌫️. Staff seemed bored 😐, tall bloke at the door gave security energy 🕴️🔍, not sure what his deal was 🤨.
Prices were wild 💸—$89 for 36 pieces ⁉️ Chocolate tasted good 😋🍬, not denying that ✅, but kinda overpriced 💰 and overhyped 📢 tbh smh ngl pmo 🫠🤦♂️.
All up: looked nice 👀, smelled better 👃🍫, but the experience was average 🫤. So much missed opportunity 🙄, they should contact me 📞 and I'll send them a business plan 📈🧠 to make it wayyyy better 🔥💡 trust on that crodie 🫱.
Still a nice visit tho, wouldn’t not recommend it 🤷♀️👌."
