"Horseshoe Bay

History has it that in 1850, Horseshoe Bay at Port Elliot was controversially selected as the major seaport. Unfortunately, the harbour had a reputation as a "ship trap", with seven ships wrecked between 1853 and 1864.
From the lookout vantage point, visitors can enjoy picturesque scenery, and be hypnotised by the sound of the rhythmicmic ruse and fall of the waves.
The wind is strong, and the waves keep rushing to the shore wash upon the sand. It is safer to walk on the boardwalk to reach the beach.
It must be one of the best tourist attraction.
Exercise extreme caution as the waves are big."
