What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Star Sydney is a multifaceted entertainment complex offering a wide range of dining, gaming, and live performance options. Visitors often praise the diverse culinary experiences and the vibrant atmosphere, particularly on weekend evenings. However, some guests find the gaming experience limited by continuous shuffle machines and note that prices for drinks and dining can be quite high.
"There’s nothing Merry about The Star if you’re from another state in Australia. This new mandatory players card system is an absolute joke. Firstly if you come from another state it will not accept your drivers license automatically so you get put on a wait list to be served manually. We waited over an hour to be called so that we could sign up for it by Guest Relations and even then they were not ready to help us. I’ve never walked out of a casino before without actually giving them some money from gambling, but this was absolutely warranted and I’m glad we did. The extra star goes to the lady who made our cocktails in the Cherry Bar while we waited, they were fantastic and she did a great job considering she was the only one behind the bar serving."

"Had a fantastic time at the Star casino, I played blackjack and the host Eddie was extremely fun, he was informative and dedicated to his craft. If you’re ever nervous about playing a table game don’t be the staff will assist you, you’re not a burden to them and they will help you. Thanks again Eddie"

"Reasonable proximity to Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Harbour Bridge and Opera House. We ebiked most of the time from The Star. Its casino is big and has a number of bars and eateries to choose from. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic buffet brekkie!! The room however was average (very clean but with two double beds instead of one king bed as requested and not a great view after asking for one with this)"
