"Nice isolated place, not much crowded but I would say scary to camp alone unless you are not afraid of dark. Toilets are compost one, doors are not lockable so if you are inside anyone else can enter. I noticed a tank of rain water but not sure if the tap was working or not. They have multiple dedicated fireplaces, we were not able to find any electric grills so we went to Ararat for bbq. Waterfall is near from the top of the mountain, we went with young kids but didn’t find any problem to climb up. My shoes were slippery so better use some trail walkers. What else, place is scenic with lots of ferns."

"Easily accessible park with a great variety of scenic views. Some areas are still recovering from fires, some time ago, and the campground were soggy after the rains but great day visit.
Drove to the upper carpark first, the waterfall is just a short level walk away. Explored the area around the Middle Creek campground as well until we run out of daylight."

Exploring the Waterfall Trail
However, for those seeking a more adventurous perspective, a tricky little track branches off to the left of the bridge. This path leads to a potentially great vantage point, but it's not for the faint of heart or those with mobility issues, requiring careful navigation. It's also worth noting that some of the giant fern fronds near the bridge can obscure the view, a point that has been raised by visitors hoping for clearer sightlines.
When visiting, especially after rain, the waterfall is at its most impressive. Remember to wear appropriate footwear, as the terrain can be slippery. The drive to the upper car park is magical, and the waterfall itself is a rewarding sight amidst the park's lush greenery.
Camping at Mount Buangor

The toilets are compost style, and a notable point of feedback is that the doors are not lockable, which might be a concern for some visitors, especially if camping alone. While a rainwater tank might be present, its functionality isn't guaranteed, so bringing your own water supply is highly recommended.
Campers should also be prepared for cooking arrangements. There are no electric grills available, so if you plan on barbecuing, you'll need to bring your own equipment. Despite these basic amenities, the tranquility and natural beauty of Mount Buangor make it a worthwhile camping destination for the prepared adventurer.
Navigating the Park's Terrain
Once inside, the accessibility varies. The main path to the waterfall from the upper car park is a short, level walk, making it suitable for most visitors. However, other tracks within the park can be more challenging. Visitors have noted that some paths are not wheelchair or pram friendly, and slippery conditions are common, especially after rain.
For this reason, wearing appropriate footwear is crucial. Sturdy trail walkers are highly recommended to ensure safety and comfort while exploring the park's diverse landscapes, from the waterfall area to the surrounding fern-filled gullies.
