Less than 10km from Yeppoon, and only 40 mins from Rockhampton, is the Bluff Point circuit walk. If you’re from Victoria, you fly to Brisbane and then Rockhampton. The walk is only 2.3km total, with two incredible panoramic viewpoints. It’s a steep 600m climb to the first lookout, but the views are worth it! And it’s named after the wildlife you can see…watch the video to find out ! I definitely ...

Bluff Point Walking Track, Rosslyn. 15 mins from Yeppoon, 45 mins from Rockhampton. The scenic 2.3km circuit track is a short but very sweet walk that will get the heart rate up just enough to justify hot chippies for lunch afterwards 😅 Enjoy views of the Capricorn coastline and the Keppel Bay islands. Take a dip at Kemp Beach or head to the Rosslyn Bay Lookout for a view from the other side and a...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning coastal views and the unique opportunity to spot sea turtles from the lookout points. The walk is described as beautiful and rewarding, with well-maintained facilities like BBQs. Some note the presence of mosquitoes and the physical challenge of the inclines, but overall, it's highly recommended for a family day out or a scenic hike.

"Beautiful walk! There are two main ways to tackle the loop: if you head up on the left side (clockwise), you’ll face about 260 steps, while starting on the right side (anti-clockwise) involves roughly 135 steps. The total elevation is the same either way, but the experience can feel quite different. Some enjoy the challenge of more steps, while others prefer the steady incline of the sloped path. For a bit of fun, we like to call the upper lookout the “Cooling Station,” thanks to the strong breeze that’s often blowing up there. It’s especially refreshing after taking the anti-clockwise route—you’ve earned the breeze, and from there, it’s all downhill! Enjoy the videos from the top of the hill."
