Was glad it had been cleaned up and restored to a wetlands (was a dumping site decades ago).
It is beautiful wetlands lake, with a good cycle/pedestrian path around it. Local fauna and flora are flourishing. Well worth a quick visit, walk around or even extended bird watch from the blinds.
This place was named after an ancestor of mine, by a distant cousin when New Holland was claimed as part of New South Wales.
It's local name before the white fellows came along is also beautiful - Tjuirtgellong."
