"This was our favourite part of our walking at 1770. When you reach the viewing platform, there is a narrow natural pathway that leads out to the point. There is a sign at the start of the path Warning you of the unfenced cliff edges. If you take care, this is not a difficult extension to the walk, and you will be rewarded with some absolutely breathtaking views. If you simply want to take the path and the board walk, the view is still amazing."

Experiencing the Headland Trails
For those seeking a more thrilling perspective, a narrow natural pathway branches off towards the very tip of the headland. This extension is not fenced, and visitors are warned of the cliff edges. It's a favorite spot for photographers and those who want to feel truly immersed in the dramatic landscape.
Whether you stick to the main boardwalk or venture to the point, the walks are relatively short, allowing you to soak in the views without an arduous trek. The presence of a bench at the main lookout provides a welcome spot to rest and simply enjoy the moment.
The Magic of Sunrise and Sunset
Similarly, sunset at the Headland provides a spectacular display of color. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky can transform into a canvas of oranges, pinks, and purples, casting a warm glow over the landscape. While often less crowded than sunrise, it's still a popular time for visitors to gather and witness the day's end. Both sunrise and sunset offer unique photographic opportunities and a chance to connect with the natural beauty of the area.
