Reviews Summary
Ivor Rowe Rock Pool is praised as a beautiful, natural ocean pool offering stunning coastal views and a peaceful escape. Visitors appreciate its secluded charm and the scenic walk to reach it. However, many caution about the slippery rocks and the unpredictable nature of ocean waves, stressing the importance of visiting at low tide and exercising extreme care.
"The Ivo Rowe Rockpool is one of the smallest ocean pools along the Coastal Walkway. It is a natural, shallow rock pool and perfect for wading or cooling down on a hot day. Be careful as the rocks in and around the pool may be slippery. The best access to the rock pool by car is via Bunya Parade in South Coogee. It is an easy two kilometre walk south of Coogee Beach via the Coastal Walkway.. I visited again today on a rainy day, I didn't take the risk going to the Rocks, the steps were slippery and a lot of water was running off the cliff onto the stairs making very risky. I visited yesterday there is now great non-slip stairs bypassing the water π§ that never stops raining down the cliff edge. Its now safe and easy to get to the pool."

"As we've just had one of the wettest Mays on record, at the moment you have to risk a cold shower near the bottom of the step to the pool with the water pouring off the overhanging rocks. Worth the temporary soaking as I managed to take some shots and a short video. It's a simply stunning location, even if you have no intention of having a dip. Next visit I'll ensure I have my trunks and a towel to hand, as I definitely do. π"

"My rating takes into account the excellent boardwalk/path from coogee to here.
This little area is fantastic and the walk to get here from the beach takes you through a great deal of nature and past the Coogee Steps.
The rockpool itself is a small area that is only safe to access at low tide. The photos I've uploaded with this review show the Rock pool at high tide with a storm brewing. So be careful!!
Views are great and there is a couple of seats where you can sit and look out to the ocean whilst sitting amongst the nature."
