Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the St Kilda Foreshore Promenade for its beautiful beach, stunning sunset views, and the charming little penguins on the pier. The newly renovated pier and the vibrant atmosphere are major draws, offering a great spot for walks, cycling, and enjoying the seaside. Some reviews mention occasional concerns about safety due to loitering, but overall, it's considered a highly recommended Melbourne experience.

"Wide, level path along the beach at St Kilda. Very popular with walkers, runners and cyclists so keep your wits about you. A great spot to view the sunset or do some people watching if you prefer. A short walk to food and drink options, there are also some establishments right on the promenade. Makes an excellent sunset viewing location too."

Sean Nairn

"This is one of the most popular and trendy tourist parts of Melbourne. It starts at St Kilda Pier and ends at Marine Reserve but being part of the Bay Trail, you could easily continue on north-west towards Port Melbourne or south-east to Seaford. The golden sandy St Kilda Beach is certainly a feature however the promenade is also very popular with walkers and dog walkers, and being mostly concreted with paved areas, it's great for roller blading, jogging and cycling. In places it's split in two; providing separate facilities for pedestrians and cyclists. There's plenty of food and beverage offerings and also offers lively nightlife. The sea view is awesome and it's a spectacular place from which to watch the sunset. It reminds me a lot of Mallory Square in Key West, Florida! Highly recommended!"
