What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Strahan Esplanade and Historic Foreshore to be a pleasant and picturesque walk, rich with local history and scenic harbour views. The path is praised for its accessibility, making it suitable for all ages and mobility levels. While generally enjoyable, some note minor trip hazards on the concrete path.
"At the Visitor Centre, we picked up a brochure about this foreshore walk, and it was useful in highlighting points of interest, with some information, along the route. We parked at the primary school (Beach Road) and walked to Regatta Point Railway Station. And back! The path was flat, well maintained and suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. We were so distracted by the sights along the way and stopped so often, that we forgot to check how long it took us and how far we had walked! It was a great way to experience the town and some of its history. Highly recommended."

"This walk around the harbour at Strahan was pleasant and interesting. We saw catamarans, yachts, boats and a train. Surprised to see an outdoor fitness section amidst the path. The walk takes about 25 minutes one way and with stopping to take pics it took us about an hour return. I liked that in sections where it’s prone to get slippery, a non slip surface has been placed to avoid slipping."
