Recommendations for industrial/historical experiences
I'm looking for tours/experiences of industrial places in Sydney that are near the CBD or the Shire. We've already done the Port Kembla Steelworks tour in Wollongong, and am aware of the Loftus tram museum. The maritime museum also looks pretty good. What are some similar things…

Looking for running route recommendations
Happy Saturday everyone, I am looking for a park/field I can run loops of. I want something as flat as humanly possible (I hate hills, even Centennial Park is too hilly for me). Preferably at least 2.5km around and with low/zero probability of needing to stop/slow down for cars…

Armory Wharf is praised as a beautiful and historic spot, perfect for leisurely walks, bike rides, and photography, especially for its industrial remnants like cranes and railway tracks. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and scenic river views, making it a great family-friendly destination. Some may find it lacks extensive organized activities, but its historical charm and natural beauty are consistently highlighted.
"The Newington Armory wharf area is part of the Newington Armament Depot and Nature Reserve (Newington Armory) heritage-listed precinct. The wharf area is from the Murama Healing Space to the boat jetty near the Armory Wharf Café. I find it a beautiful spot to watch the ferries and boats passing regularly on the Parramatta River. The jetty was once used as a ferry wharf when the Wentworth Point wharf was under renovation. Great place to bring the kids and watch waterbirds and explore the many attractions nearby."

"I like walking around the site here. There’s lots of history to know about. My top favorite place of this area is the wharf and especially the railway that is in this area cause it’s good for photography and HO railway modeling inspiration. I recommend any railway modeler in sydney and the greater NSW area to come here and look around here especially at the rail served buildings here and get some ideas about their diorama or model train layout. The wharf here is very good for getting inspiration for being in a model train layout. This has to be the best railway related area in the Sydney metropolitan area! 🚋🚂🚂🚃🚊😸😸👍🏾👍🏾🤩🤩🤩😁😁😆💫💫✨🌟🌟⭐️🏭🏭🏙️💖🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺"

"I love history and this place is awesome! Was here on a weekday so nice and quiet. Cranes were used to load armoury on RAN boats. Nearby is the buildings that housed the ammunition. Little train tracks remain of the railway that used to transport the ammunition to the docks. Most can be explored for free. Plushy of parking at the nearby car park."
