For the amount you pay for IMAX tickets, you expect a real “wow” factor, but it just wasn’t there. IMAX felt more like hype than experience. Even though the screen is massive, the overall value wasn’t worth it. At Hoyts Entertainment Quarter, the Onyx cinema gives sharper detail, balanced sound, and far better comfort at a much more reasonable price.
Even though we had recliners at IMAX, they lacked lower back support and left me sore. The screen is massive, but depending on the movie, parts can be cropped.
