What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Witches Falls Circuit a beautiful rainforest walk, though the waterfall itself is highly seasonal and often a trickle without rain, leading to disappointment for some. The challenging terrain is noted, making it less accessible for some. The nearby Witches Falls Winery is a popular spot for wine tasting and food, especially with weekend live music.
"The walk around wasn't to bad. But not for the faint of heart. The track is not wheelchair friendly. There are rocks and tree roots in the middle of the path. The waterfall was very small only because of the lack of rain, which was a shame. But some of the views are good. The track starts easy but near the end is hard. Some wildlife around as well. The path is narrow in parts as well."

"TLDR - falls are not worth the effort.
This whole track is a loop, so you can start either from the left (clockwise) or right (counterclockwise). I did the latter.
This pathway starts easy, but becomes rockier as you go down. Quite a number of rocky steps down - some little ones were doing it carefully. I almost rolled my ankle multiple times on the way down.
You will eventually reach a point where you have to choose to go left (complete the rest of the circuit) or right (to the Witches Falls lookout and Witches Chase Track) - I went right.
You gotta watch for the sign for the falls lookout point - if you only focus on walking without reading the information boards you will miss it (I explain where this is in my photos because I almost missed it).
The falls were the most disappointing thing I’ve ever seen. Just a trickle. Only later did I find out this is a ‘seasonal fall’ so you see nothing if the weather is dry. The effort it took to get to this point is not worth it, in my opinion.
You can choose to go on to complete Witches Chase, which is an out-and-back route, or turn back and complete the Witches Falls Circuit. I turned back and the other way back to the carpark was easier, but also a narrow, constant gentle slope up nearing to the end. I had to stop to give way to people coming down the other side.
I didn’t particularly enjoy this track. If the falls were magnificent and if the view was stunning I might still recommend it, but they weren’t."

"The waterfall wasn't great. Trees are overgrown and blocking it. The lagoon was completely dry, and it looked like it had been for some time. The trees are stunning, and our children were excited to find leaves in the shape of hearts.
The walk was a peaceful, beautiful place."
