What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the AELEC Equine Centre for its clean, modern, and purpose-built facilities, particularly the large indoor arena. The convenience for competitors, including good camping and horse washing amenities, is also a highlight. However, some attendees note that food and beverage prices are high, and seating near competitor entrances can sometimes lead to obstructed views.
"Clean, showers are hot and good pressure, good water pressure in camping area for horse washing."

"Purchased our tickets online, for 2 nights at the Rodeo, with never being here before.
Heaps of easy parking and you enter the Centre at street level. Bag check before showing the ticket, and easy entering through set doors to your seating.
This is a huge, closed-in arena that seats approx 4,000 people. Numbered sections with alphabetical rows of plastic seats, with A being closest to arena & H at top. Lots of stairs and good number of amenities and food/beverage choices.
Food/beverage is not cheap.
This Centre is fabulous as it's a purpose built showcase.
Be aware that if you buy seat tickets near the competitor entry/exits, people stand/ sit on the steps, which affects your view of seeing the competitors/animals preparing to enter the arena and makes it difficult to walk up/down the steps.
If alcohol is served at the function, then 90% of the doors are shut, which stops good air flow on a hot day/night, so take a fan.
Thoroughly enjoyed our first time at this Centre, would highly recommend and can't wait to return.
Thank you Tamworth AELEC."

For attendees, the main indoor arena is a focal point, capable of seating over 4,000 spectators. This space is ideal for high-energy events like rodeos and PBR (Professional Bull Riders) competitions. Beyond the main arena, the centre also offers comprehensive facilities for competitors, including camping areas with essential amenities like good water pressure for horse washing.
While the venue itself is highly praised, it's important for visitors to be aware of practicalities. Additionally, the cost of food and beverages within the venue is noted as being on the higher side, so planning your budget accordingly is advised.
Tips for Attending Events at AELEC
Consider the weather and comfort. Reviews suggest dressing warmly for evening events, and on hot days, be aware that if alcohol is served, airflow might be reduced due to closed doors, making a personal fan a useful item.
Pay attention to seating choices. While the arena offers great views, seats located near competitor entry and exit points might experience some obstruction from people standing on stairs. Understanding these nuances can help you select the best spot for your viewing pleasure.
