What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors love the free, peaceful riverside camping at Terramungamine Rock Grooves, highlighting the stunning white cockatoo displays and the serene atmosphere. While the basic toilet facilities are noted, the overall experience is highly positive for those seeking an off-grid escape.
"It was really lovely beside the river. Really beautiful! Lots of flat areas to park a caravan. There were toilets which were pretty clean and they had toilet paper. The white galahs(maybe) were just amazing there were about a thousand in the trees and they would all take off and whirl and soar around and around. Spectacular, very noisy, but the minute it was dark you didn't hear them, obviously sleeping.π₯±π Some people had raging camp fires π₯ I think they bought there own wood. There is no dump point or power or water but you can put out your grey water. There are no showers."
Debra Pickering
"Well, itβs free. Thereβs plenty of room for a dozen rigs plus a few tents here and there. Itβs a pretty spot by a small river. CampFires allowed. Toilets were broken - not looking like they were going to be repaired any time soon. Self-contained is the way to go."
Keith OHara (Anand)
"Plenty of room for at least 10 vans on level spots. Away from road noise. Toilet blocks not so good but still usable. some locals in tents but no trouble."
