What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Glenmore Hotel is celebrated for its unparalleled rooftop views of Sydney Harbour, offering a classic pub experience downstairs and a vibrant atmosphere upstairs. While many praise the friendly staff and good food, some visitors have encountered slow service and communication issues, particularly with cocktail orders and food delivery during peak times.
"Dont tell anyone about this one
Had a quiet beer downstairs full of old world charm, city and harbour glimpses. Has a very period feel and the street is not too busy. Easy to forget we are over 100 years since it's birth.
Then, let's have a look upstairs - next level up - beautiful seperate rooms for functions, dining, meetings.
Another flight up and wow. A roof top bar-great harbour and city views. A function at one end and lots of soon to be revelers 'when the drinks kick in'
Great staff. Give it a try."

"My students had a great time celebrating their graduation; thanks for making it so easy to make a group booking, and for taking into account my request for the harbour view table. This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve brought a group of students for an outing, and your venue and staff are always fantastic. 😊
I will say that food service was quite slow yesterday; one of the meals (a schnitzel) took almost an hour to come out. It’s not ideal when the reservations are so tight! Overall, still fantastic, will definitely be back."

"Had a great night with the team at our EOY party. We had nice little spot allocated to us on the Roof Top, with stunning view of the Opera House.
Drinks and Food were amazing 🤤😍 and the staff were very friendly and helpful."

Be mindful of the sun on the rooftop during hot days, and ensure children are supervised at all times.

The Iconic Rooftop Experience
While the views are the main draw, the rooftop also serves food and a range of beverages. However, it's important to note that due to its popularity, the rooftop can get extremely crowded, and service can sometimes be slow during peak times. Some visitors have noted issues with cocktail orders and food delivery times, suggesting that communication and efficiency could be improved.
To make the most of your rooftop experience, consider visiting during off-peak hours or making a reservation if possible. Be prepared for the elements too; on a hot day, the sun can be intense, so sun protection is advised. Despite potential service hiccups, the unparalleled views make it a memorable Sydney experience.
