"He-who-must-be-obeyed is a beer nut. He makes his own, but really appreciates anything a bit different as long as it’s got a bit of flavour. With it being his birthday - poor old bugger - we stopped in at Prancing Pony. I treated him to a tasting paddle while I sat happily with my orange juice! There were two that floated his boat, so stocked him up with several takeaway cans. Having been Desi for a number of his forays into breweries I was expecting a big price tag. But it was so reasonable - especially for a quality product. The tasting paddle had decent sized glasses, and even came with a fifth glass of pretzels. The price for the takeaways was also reasonable. Special mention to the lady behind the bar was brilliant: and didn’t bat an eyelid that we were ordering beer just after 10am. They do have food available, but we did not order any. It was just after breakfast, after all!"
