"A mate and i stayed here while cycling around the lachlan valley. I just loved the place . Traditional country pub . With beautiful cypress pine flooring and 15ft high pressed tin ceilings. This is like stepping back in time . Definitely worth the visit. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to store our bikes in a safe place and charge them ( ebikes) .
They happily swapped our rooms when we asked for an a/c room and sorted out an issue we had .
The pub is getting a bit old but i actually loved the history. everything we needed worked . The beds were comfortable. The a/c kept us warm .

The rooms and shared facilities are very basic and the pub is being renovated, however the service was top notch, beers and wines beautifully chilled and we had a good night's sleep as we rode from Parkes and on our way to Peak Hill."
