Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Waite Arboretum for its free, daily access and beautiful, well-maintained gardens featuring a diverse collection of trees from around the world. It's a peaceful spot for walks, picnics, and photography, with informative guided tours available. Some wish for better signage and on-site amenities like a cafe.

"This Arboretum is located within the Waite campus grounds of the University of Adelaide.
It is open to the public from dawn till dusk every day of the year except for total fire ban days.
Around 800 plant species grow in this 27 hectare area under natural rainfall.
Guided tours are conducted by volunteers on each first Sunday of the month. No need to register. Just meet at Urrbrae House at 11am. The tour finishes at 12.30pm. I attended one of these sessions and found it quite informative.
It's a shame that the labyrinth has been removed. I believe it needed to go to make room for the old Adelaide Toll House.
There is also a bee, butterfly and bird garden.
Dogs are not allowed."

Emmy Silvius

"Nice small place to walk around. Gardens are well maintained with lots of beautiful flowers to see. Nice open spaces to picnic as well. Signage could be a bit better with regards to amenities"

Justin Chan

"I love looking at the big house and seeing the pretty gardens and the labyrinth. The house isn't open on weekends and typically the place is very quiet. It is beautiful, but I would love to go inside the house and be able to be able to get a cup of tea and a scone here."
