"Wonderful experience! Tickets are sold at the counter, no online booking unless for parties or 20+ people bookings. You only pay for an entrance fee and can sit all day if you'd wish to. Each ride is 30 mins long. Was lucky to sit on this rare model which was never used for 14 years.
However, the coal dust does fly to you at the front rows & open carriages. Don't wear white shirts, mine had some marks on it after the ride. And mask up or pull up your shirt as a makeshift mask. Helps with not breathing in coal 😌👃🫁.
The souvenirs was really unique and cheap. And there's a cool transportation museum beside the main railway as well. The staffs were really friendly, funny, and like to talk to us about train facts."
