Some note the need for good grip shoes and sun protection due to the exposed nature of the summit.
"One of the amazing views we've seen - it's a fairly short walk with a little bit of climbing involved but it's very clear where is safe to climb, and definitely worth the effort!"

"Been here twice!! Love the climb, the nature walk, the views, toilets are clean, undercover picnic table area works for winter and summer. So much birdlife for photo opportunities."

"Stopped at the massive granite rock on the way to Windy Harbour in Sep 23. Reasonably short and easy dirt track walk to where the granite starts. Some steep sections though from there. Important to have shoes with good grip. There are small white triangles on the stone pointing along the recommended route. Some sweet micro-environments on the way and a few orchids and small wildflowers.
The top has plenty more to explore though one should be alert to the possibility of slipping off the edge. There is also no shelter on a sunny day so be sure to wear a hat.
Running up the slope while exploring the top I gave myself a strained calf muscle injury. Made the trip down and back to the car interesting, as well as the rest of the day at the Windy Harbour lookout and short walks/limps.
Nevertheless, enjoyed the visit and the view, and will check it out again if we are there in the wet."
