"Convenient to Stubnerkogel lift (90 seconds; 3 min if you've already put on your ski boots on the train), Blonde Beans coffee shop (right across the street), and the heart of Bad Gastein (5-10 min by foot). Current renovations (concluded in mid 2025) should make it even better!"
Gernot Wagner
"You get the feeling of a newly built station in old design and in general the room feels clean and fresh. Ticket sales are transferred mainly to a ticket machine and the manual ticket selling is rarely open early morning or late afternoon.
Do NOT rely on the machine to work and it is NOT possible to buy tickets on the train.

If you arrive early to the station and the weather is cold, you will freeze for the hall is poorly heated and there is few seats available."
