What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Glockenspielplatz aesthetically pleasing with its historic building and charming clock tower. The daily performances, when operational, are described as a delightful, old-world spectacle. However, frequent mechanical issues with the Glockenspiel itself lead to disappointment for many, with some noting the information sign is poorly placed.
"An esthetically nice old building with a small bell tower and statues of a woman and a man that get out to the window and "dance" to the tune of the bell three times a day. It is a attractive now as it was in the early 19th Century when it was delivered to Graz and installed here by a private owner of the very same building. Not special or breathtaking but interesting to see anyway."
Vanja Zvonar
"Glockenspiel doesn’t work, and according to the local press, it has been out of order more often than not ever since Easter this year (2025).
For some reason, the info sign has been placed in a corner behind the tourists lining up to see this old attraction. After a long wait, most of them seemed to leave with their disappointed kids in tow without ever seeing the „hidden“ sign."
