What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Grassmayr Bell Museum's unique, hands-on approach, especially the interactive sound studio that delights all ages. The opportunity to witness bell casting adds a special historical dimension, though seeing this live depends on the foundry's schedule. It's a highly recommended, sensory-rich experience.
"Cool bell foundry. We got into Innsbruck a little later than expected, but we had about 45 mins to check it out. Love the displays and movie, they have cast bells and other items for sale as well in a nice gift shop. We wish we had a little more time to spend and that we had arrived during shop hours to see the actual work. There are display bells and other items outside and you can ring many of the bells on display."

"A real fun museum where you can touch everything and try all. Recommanded for children. Just be ready for a lot of bells noise...."

"Amazing experience. It's a small museum about bells. They have an old foundry that serves as an exhibit, but they also let you peek into the new foundry where even today they make new bells. Best part was that you could try out many of them. So it was not only visual, but also audio experience. There is also a shop where you can buy your own bell as a souvenir."
