What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Gieringer Weiher is praised for its cozy, clean, and well-organized natural lake with warm waters and stunning mountain views. It's a highly dog-friendly spot with a dedicated beach, though the presence of many dogs might not suit everyone. Some visitors find the entry fee a bit high and note that the owners can seem less than welcoming, with early kitchen closures being a minor inconvenience.
"One word: cosy.
Cosy small lake, warm water, all well organized.
The stuff even helped us with a first aid kit when, another day, during a mountain bike tour that we took nearby, we had some bruises to “solve”."

"Clean place, quiet place. However dogs are allowed, which means barking. The entrance is 7 euro which I find extremely expensive to swim in a random lake, after all its a lake like many others. If you want a bed to lay it has an extra cost. The kitchen at 15.30 was already closed something that really surprised me, I know that Austrians are early people, but that's ridiculous."

"Amazing lake.
People are also allowed in with dogs .
Its a private property as a lot of land is in 🇦🇹 . So im it not suprised they charge money for entry. 5 euro is extremely cheap. In Vienna I pay 16 for a somewhat simlar experience (but worse ). Research your information before going people. Would you let thousands of people go around your beautiful property for free ??
Also if you dont like or afraid of dogs or your kids are afraid of dogs - probably not a place for you. Many dogs 🐕. Which is a bonus for me but yeah if you dont like them its hard to avoid."
