Reviews Summary
Visitors are captivated by the unique natural spectacle of the Lavant and Drau rivers merging, creating a stunning visual display of contrasting colors. The Drauspitz monument adds a point of interest, and the nearby playground is a bonus for families. However, parking can be a significant challenge due to the location's residential nature.
"Lavanton is not an ideal landing spot after paddling."

"The Drauspitz is a monument, located precisely at the point where the Drau and Lavant rivers merge. The Drauspitz is very popular with young people, but otherwise has no significance. A freely accessible children's playground is located in the immediate vicinity. Many fishermen also hang out along the Drau wall at the Drauspitz. The Drau is a very popular destination for recreational anglers!"

"Depending on the previous weather (no rain) and the current position of the sun (higher sun is better), a beautiful play of colors can be seen here at the confluence of the Lavant (more brown primary rock water) and the Drau (more greenish limestone water) as the two types of water mix. As a rule, both rivers remain unmixed for several meters. Since this place is not far from the main road, it is a worthwhile stopover on the way through (unfortunately there is hardly any parking space because it is residential buildings). Rarely seen natural spectacle. Note: Turn directly at the bridge in Lavamünd (if access is permitted)."
