"Wow!!!!!!
What can I say? I journeyed to this beautiful spectacle from Amstetten, Austria. The excitement began when we started climbing the hill towards the church. I loved every bit of the scenery. From the top of the hill, the aerial view of the city was amazing! From the farm beds to beautiful buildings by the foot of the hill, the city scape and the trees.
It was very cold and windy up the hill when we eventually alighted at the Basilika Sonntagberg. But it was worth every trouble. I have never seen any such church architecture before. The building was sparsely visited so it was quiet. Met a few old people inside who came to say prayers. The large paintings and sculptures and the showglasses where where the remains of two saints were kept, the bare altar, the pipes at the choir podium etc all added to the splendour. It would have been a disaster if I did not go there with a camera. Fantastic place!!!!"
