What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Forstsee is praised for its beautiful, secluded forest setting and surprisingly warm lake waters, making it a worthwhile drive for a peaceful escape. Visitors appreciate its dog-friendly nature and tranquil atmosphere. However, some note concerns about water cleanliness and a lack of facilities, emphasizing the need for visitors to be self-sufficient and pack out their trash.
"Beautifull secluded lake in Austria. Quiet a drive from any of the bigger cities, but worth it. The water is warmer then most local lakes and if you walk a bit further there is always a nice spot to put your towel. Bring you own drinks and food and a garbage bag to take you garbage home again. There are some bins but they tend to be full. If you come early enough you might find find som free parking space but otherwise the parking fee is very low and then your car is, sort of, garded."
René And The World
"A small lake with some small beaches. The water is about 23 degrees Celsius and the environment is beautiful. However the water isn't clean. Because it's a popular place for swimmers and nudists aswel. The pollution is in the water and on the land. Although you pay for parking your car, there doesn't seem to be any surveillance. No place where you can leave your waist.
We came here because it's one of the rare place around here where dogs can swim."
