What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the authentic Viennese experience in Grinzing, praising the charming gardens, friendly staff, and delicious traditional food and wine. The lively atmosphere, sometimes enhanced by spontaneous folk singing, creates memorable moments. However, some guests have noted language barriers with menus and staff, and occasional slow service for the bill.
"This place will certainly become one of my go-to restaurants!!! It has a really nice garden with almost all of the seats in the shade. The staff is attentive and friendly and fast. The food is typical heurigen food and very tasty. You can either order from the menu or go into the restaurant and pick what you want. Heurigens are known for wine of course, but if you are with beer lovers there is also beer and radler. For something typical Austrian order Schweinsbraten and Gemischter Satz (white wine). Reservations can be done online and it is a 2 min walk from the end stop of the 38 tram. I would especially recommend going with a group of friends but this place is so nice outside I would also recommend it for a date! The way the tables are set up allows for enough privacy/intimacy."

"5 stars for our first Heuriger experience.
Super charming. The staff had great personality and the snacks were great.
Spending a few hours with friends and wine, snacking and talking while seemingly random people gathered together to sing folk songs was a special moment for our trip to Vienna."
Bobby Allen
"There is no English menu and the waitress did really speak English, ended up with a weird dish. There was no music and had to wait a very long time for the bill"
