"We got approached but Egon outside St. Stephen's Cathedral. We were skeptical at first, however the more we talked to Egon the more we could see his knowledge and kindness. We had booked a show at the St. Stephen's Cathedral that night and wasn't too impressed as we couldn't see or hear much due to our seating. Egon told us more about the Royal Orchestra at the House of Industry, he gave me and my mum a discounted price of £39 pp for the show the following night. He even said "I promise you, you will love every moment and if you don't come back to me and I'll give your money back". Even after we organised the purchase of the tickets and paid, we talked with Egon more about life and Japan!
When we arrived the following night, the place is absolutely beautiful. The building is outstanding. The orchestra, dancers and soprano was breathtaking and this is from someone who knows nothing about music in this genre. The seats we had were amazing and we could see full view of everything, there is a bar so we had some nice drinks too. The planned list of songs were Christmas songs mixed with well known classical. Me and mum really enjoyed our night, we would definitely come back again. The next day, we went back to the St. Stephen's Cathedral to find Egon to thank him and say goodbye - of course he was happy to see us and happy that we enjoyed the show. I definitely recommend this for anyone visiting Vienna and I recommend sitting on the top floor :)"

"I visited the House of Industry in Vienna after reading that it was one of the few places in the city where you can still find a Paternoster elevator accessible to the public. However, my experience with the receptionist was extremely unpleasant.
When I arrived, I noticed she was murmuring comments about a group that had just entered, completely unprofessional behavior for someone working at a reception desk. Even so, I approached politely, said “good morning,” and asked if the building was open for visitation. She replied in a rude and mocking tone: “No, this is not a museum.”
At no point did I ask if it was a museum; I was simply trying to be respectful before entering, since there are online reports saying the elevator can be visited. I have no idea what in my polite approach could have justified such a response.
If the building does not allow this kind of visit, they should at least put a clear sign at the entrance to avoid situations like this. It would save visitors from unnecessary embarrassment and prevent misunderstandings.
It’s disappointing that such a historic and interesting building leaves such a negative impression because of poor customer service. Someone who is unable to properly welcome visitors should not be working as a receptionist."
