Reviews Summary
Sporthalle Leopoldstadt is widely appreciated for its affordability and diverse range of sports facilities, offering hours of play for a low entry fee. Visitors enjoy the convenience of spontaneous access and free equipment like badminton rackets. However, some guests have encountered issues with customer service and strict enforcement of indoor shoe policies.
"Very nice, clean and newly built indoor sport hall for recreational use with basketball, soccer, badminton, table tennis, squash etc. Easy to get to with public transit. Showers and change rooms as well as lockers for valuables available free of extra charge. Fairly priced under €5 for admission and you can also come spontaneously without reservation and also bring your own drinks as there are tables available to rest and socialise between the plays. Improvements suggestions would be that some basketball boards could be wider and on the full basketball court the poles holding the baskets could be furthermore extended outward so you have some room underneath for layups etc. Otherwise for recrational use very good."

"I’ve been to badminton centres in 10+ countries, and this is probably the worst service I’ve ever received - so rude, unhelpful, it’s like they don’t want people to play badminton, wanted to charge me €5 just for going in and watching for two minutes.
The guy working there (tall, going bald, with slight beard) should be fired immediately."

"4 euros and you can play anything for as long as the halls open.
There are 3 badminton courts and unfortunately you can't book them in advance. However, from my experience, they are often unoccupied.
The hall also provides badminton rackets and shuttlecock that are free to use."
