What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Therme Wien offers a mixed bag of experiences. Visitors praise the relaxing thermal waters, family-friendly slides, and dedicated adult zones. However, some guests have noted concerns about cleanliness in certain areas and limited healthy dining options. The staff are generally commended for their friendliness.
"First time visit. We were a little bit struggling to understand, where to find our locker and how it works at the begining. There are no guidelines or description. It was quite confusing. The place is quite nice, but it would be much better, if people with kids would just stay in certain areas, where they can play and jump in the water. What should be improved is the restaurant, where they serve only very unhealthy meals. It does not correspond to the fact, that you are in “Therme”."

"I really love Therme Wien, it’s always such a soulful and wonderful place!
We came on a weekday, there weren’t many people, and it was just perfect.
The sauna area is super nice and relaxing and the whole atmosphere feels cozy and calm.
We love this place and keep coming back regularly."

"Great swimming pools and the thermal water is so nice and warm. Kids enjoy alot the slides and playing in the pools. Adults enjoy pools, jacuzzis and even 'only-adults' areas to relax and unwind. There is a restaurant that offers good options for food and drinks. The payment is made when you exit by collecting all spendings in a bracelet inclusing entry tickets. This way entering goes fast, there is the option to buy tickets online but must be done a day before cannot buy online for same day. There are plenty of seats inside and outside also. They offer VIP tickets also with more confy seating and other benefits. Fully recommend it when visiting Vienna!"

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
To make the most of your family visit, consider booking a full-day pass to allow ample time for exploring all the attractions. While the on-site dining options are convenient, they tend to be unhealthy, so you might want to pack some healthy snacks for the little ones if that's a concern.
couples
Consider booking a VIP package for an enhanced experience, which often includes more comfortable seating and additional amenities. While the on-site dining might not be the highlight, the overall ambiance of relaxation and the therapeutic benefits of the thermal water make it a great choice for a rejuvenating couple's day out.
Budget Travelers
To save on food expenses, consider having your main meals before or after your visit, as the on-site dining can be pricey and limited in healthy options. Bringing your own towel will also save you a rental fee.

The Thermal Water Experience
While the thermal water itself is a major draw, the overall atmosphere contributes significantly to the relaxation. The design of the pools, the ambient sounds, and the spaciousness all work together to create a tranquil environment. It's this combination of natural elements and thoughtful design that makes a visit to Therme Wien so rejuvenating.
Navigating the Different Zones
For those seeking pure relaxation, the Sauna World and Vitality Oasis offer a more serene escape. These areas are designed for quiet contemplation and rejuvenation, with various saunas, steam rooms, and relaxation lounges. It's important to note that some of these premium areas may have an additional entry fee.
There are also dedicated adults-only areas, providing a peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of family zones. These spaces are perfect for couples or individuals looking for a more tranquil and sophisticated spa experience.
Beyond the Pools: Wellness and Dining
The dining options at Therme Wien have been a point of contention for some guests. The on-site restaurant primarily serves unhealthy meals, which some feel is incongruent with the wellness-focused nature of a thermal spa. While convenient, it might not cater to those seeking lighter, healthier fare.
Despite these drawbacks, the staff at Therme Wien are consistently praised for their kindness and welcoming demeanor, which helps to mitigate some of the less positive aspects of the experience.
