Reviews Summary

Vienna's flea markets offer a diverse shopping experience, with many visitors enjoying the hunt for unique items and bargains, especially at larger markets like Riesen-Wienerberg. However, some markets can be dominated by specialized vendors with high prices, and crowds can be significant, particularly on Sunday mornings. The food sections, like at Naschmarkt, are a pleasant addition.

"If you like to go to fleamarkets, you will probably sense a certain difference here right away. There is a group of people, I would refrain to call it mafia just like that, but they definitely overtaken this market. You can tell them apart by recognizing how specialized their stalls are. One would sell almost exclusively old cameras, another one - bronze figurines , another one -Russian lacquer boxes, another one - glass vases and so on. Usually fleamarket sellers have an eclectic mix of things, not just one type.
Noticing this you will be able to tell them apart from the minority ( unfortunately) of true and honest fleamarket sellers.
Almost all sellers from the group described above had crazy high prices. So just make a mental note of this.
I was still able to get some good souvenirs to bring home. The fleamarket definitely worth a visit . Plus do not miss real farmers selling their own produce from their tracks at the end of the fleamarket."

"We visited the Naschmarkt on a Wednesday afternoon in the fall. There were about 6 tourists there so we just turned around. People bring stuff, and stuff brings people. No evidence of either."

"Agree with the reviews saying to go early because it gets warm once is the sun is up. You will assaulted by a lot of cigarette smoke but it gets better when you reach the food and vegetables side of the market. Most sellers are friendly but a couple that was mending the store was kinda making fun of me when trying to haggle. But it's up to you whether you want to buy despite that. The food session was much more comfortable and the bun at the butchery was yummy. Worth going if you are nearby."
