"The Sheki Khan Palace ( Xan cerayi) is a beautiful palace nestled inside the Sheki fortress. It's treat to spend time here amidst the wonderful green landscape in Sheki. I visited with my family in May. The entry ticket costs 9 AZN ( Manaat). It's free for children.
Inside the fortress one can visit also the Sheki state art gallery, History museum, Round temple and painted glass workshop other than the Khan Palace.
The Khan Palace is not very large, but potrays the art and culture of the area in another era. The painted glass windows are a beautiful sight to watch and it's craftsmanship even more amazing! Photography is not allowed inside the palace.
We could not get a English guide but the common guide ( payed for in the ticket) was also translating in English for us. Visitors are taken in only in groups of around 10-12 to prevent overcrowding inside. Some of the steps inside may be difficult for elderly people to climb.
I also visited the Art gallery with English guide which was very good. There were beautiful paintings, some of which were from Soviet era too.
The history museum and the Round temple were closed. One can spend around 2-4 hours inside the complex. Sheki is not visited by many international tourists, so we found local visitors very happy to interact with us asking us about our country and taking pictures with us!!"

"Beautiful historic trees at the entry of the palace. The two ancient chinar (plane) trees in front of the Sheki Khan's Palace are deeply significant because across the broader region, chinar trees have long symbolised greatness, continuity, and sovereignty, reflecting the enduring legacy and authority of those who planted them. As in the case of this palace the Chinar trees serve as living witnesses to centuries of history. Their presence at the palace entrance underscores the site's cultural heritage and the connection to past rulers and their traditions. At last but not least they provide beautiful cool shade."
