What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jhaubon Park offers a mixed dining experience, with many praising its generous portions and good value for money, particularly for its fish dishes like coral fish curry and loitta fish fry. However, some visitors have noted a decline in food quality and inconsistent menu availability, alongside occasional issues with the dining environment.
"This is the second branch of JhauBon Restaurant. Once well-known in Cox’s Bazar for its food and service, but unfortunately the quality seems to have gone down over time.
I visited for breakfast and found most of the items on the menu unavailable, which was very disappointing. I had to settle for paratha, lentil curry, poached egg, beef with potatoes, and tea. The experience, however, was far from satisfying. The poached egg was broken, as can be clearly seen in the picture, the beef curry was overloaded with oil and bones, and the tea tasted very poor — even roadside tea stalls serve better.
On top of that, even though air conditioning was available, they didn’t turn it on, and the overall environment was not satisfactory at all.
Overall, the standard is nowhere near what JhauBon used to be known for. The management really needs to focus on improving food quality, service, and environment if they want to regain their reputation."

"The food is great here. Prices are a bit cheaper than other hotels nearby. They're quite clean. Had loitta fish fry, coral fry, shrimp vuna. They gave complimentary chatni as well. It was a tasty. The portion is very big. If you order one fish item it'll be easily sharable within two people.
It was close to the hotel we were staying at.
Also their castard was nice too."
