What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Heywoods Beach is praised for its calm, clear waters and beautiful, lighter-colored sands that give the sea a stunning blue hue. Visitors love the peaceful atmosphere, especially during sunset, and the opportunity to snorkel and see fish near the rocks. Some note the presence of litter and the lack of showers/changing facilities, as well as potholes in the parking lot.
"Upscale, tidy, calm, peaceful beach. I visited on a Monday evening an dcaught the sunset. The beach water is clear, and the sands are somewhat lighter than most other beach sand in the island, and this gives the water a light gatorade blue hue. This must be one of the better beaches to take a dip while taking in the sunset."

"Hey, woods! is exactly the kind of greeting I would use on my friend named Woods to come along down to this beach. It's absolutely stunning, especially in the evening time. It's never too busy either so it makes for the perfect space to read or just relax of you're not a huge fan of crowds. 10/10 would recommend"

"It’s a beach but what a beach. Clean sand with some litter around but that seems to be the norm for the whole of the island. Not sure where our visitors tax goes! Coral sand and beautiful clear warm water to swim in. Car park is spacious but watch out for the potholes they are massive. Nice for walking along to the Caboose for beer, rum punches or fish cutters."
