The well-organized museum and beautiful ruins offer a deeply immersive experience, though some note the limited availability of food on-site and the beer purchase restrictions. "The Abbaye d’Orval is one of those places where history, spirituality, and craftsmanship blend beautifully. Nestled in peaceful surroundings, the abbey radiates serenity, while the ruins and gardens tell centuries of stories. The brewery, famous for its Trappist beer, is truly impressive — a perfect balance of tradition and precision. Tasting the Orval beer near its birthplace is an experience in itself: complex, aromatic, and unlike any other. The small museum adds depth, showing the monks’ dedication to quality. A must-visit for beer lovers and anyone seeking authentic Belgian heritage!"

"A monastery where Orval beer is made. One of the few trappist beer locations where there is a touring ground and explains the history of the place, tradition and produce. The entry is 8 euro which in my opinion is worth the price. There are a lot of art works and artifacts in the museum. You can also buy their beer and other produce in the shop. I highly recommend visiting the place when around the area."

Romeo

"Amazing abbey with so much history. I loved in particular the fact they make some of the best beer in the world. You can even buy from the shop there exclusive beer"
