"Stone arch bridge from the year 1400 and which connects the two Broel towers. At the time it was also called the High Bridge and it forms 3 arches over the Leie. In 1872 it was restored but in both world wars it was destroyed. Each time it was rebuilt in the original style and shape.
On the bridge is the statue of Johannes Nepomucenus, being the patron saint of drowning people."
