What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
MIMA is praised for its vibrant, contemporary urban art exhibitions and unique atmosphere in a former brewery. Visitors appreciate the free Wednesday afternoons and the engaging, often provocative, themes. Some find the art challenging, but most enjoy the fresh perspective it offers on modern culture.
"What I love about this museum is that it is coherent in what it presents, and what it presents doesn’t overwhelm you. It has a nice little cafe/restaurant. Also, it’s in an interesting neighborhood."

"Really enjoyed the museum but considering how small it is the ticket is a bit overpriced (which is the only reason for low rating)
You do need to enjoy modern art to enjoy this place though, and I did enjoy!"
AJ Nagle
"It was a reasonably interesting experience with some interesting elements, but felt quite limited with just the one artist being displayed. The art was good but therefore limited in its scope. The do it yourself audience participation art that was there was also completed with nothing to really peel off so felt like that experience was not available. It was good but limited, stayed at the Meininger next door so got in cheaply so was fine but not sure I’d pay full price."
