"Small but efficient airport serving San Pedro. Small planes are a little cramped for taller travelers but the short flight from Belize City is scenic and fun. They’ll seat you based on plane balance, but the Caravans haul a lot of stuff. Frequent fights, easy check-in, friendly staff…you will need to schlep your own bags, but it’s an island paradise…shorts and flip flops are really all you need!"

"I flew with Tropic Air from Belize City to San Pedro and had a really smooth experience. The flight was short and scenic, taking about 15 minutes each way. The plane seats around 10 passengers, not including the pilot, and gives you an up close view of the beautiful blue waters below.
Tropic Air is very clear about boarding times, so be sure to arrive early and ready to go. If you show up ahead of schedule, they are often able to get you on an earlier flight, which is a nice bonus. That said, they can also be very relaxed about switching you to a later flight without asking much. If you care about sticking to your original time, especially if you checked in on time, make sure to politely decline and let them know you want to stay on the flight you booked.
The airport staff were helpful and the check in process was easy. Overall, it was a stress free and efficient way to travel between the mainland and the islands. I would definitely recommend flying with Tropic Air."

"We came in to Sam Pedro, out to the mainland for San Ignacio, back in San Pedro and then out to go back home so 4 times on tropic air over a 2 week vacation and every time it was such an easy smooth process. The color coded boarding passes are genius for a small airplane company but I will have to say I never expected to see an alcohol advertisement on my boarding pass before coming here 😂 just a little funny to me.
Smooth rides every time and I believe 3/4 times on the plane they saved me room in the back to easy load and unload with our heard of children. I especially appreciated it due to having an 8 month old baby with me."
