"A great stay away from the hustle bustle of the city, the hotel is offers a luxurious stay amidst lush gardens bedecked with beautiful flora. The hotel is popular among the foreign crowd for it's authentic stay and a good spread of international cuisine ( especially keeping the spiciness in mind ) Staff is extremely courteous.
The property is vast and overlooks the entire city of Paro. The sit out outside the reception area offers a good view of the gardens. The route from the main hotel complex to the restaurant is lined with benches offering glimpses of the the entire city. Overall a great stay!
PS: The hotel is quite a climb from the city roads, most taxis overcharge for the ride."

"Excellent heritage hotel which could do so much better with some refurbishment. The hotel is not suitable for the elderly or physically challenged since the staircase is steep and no rooms are available on the ground floor. The restaurant complex is slightly away from the main complex but well maintained. Food and service is very good. Rooms though big, tend to be dimly lit, making it depressing. Lighter coloured walls / roofs and brighter lights would make the rooms nicer. Bathrooms are ok but plumbing could improve. Overall a nice homely place to stay."
