Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Tunari National Park for its stunning, expansive views and opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. The natural beauty, including unique woodlands and potential wildlife sightings, is a significant draw. However, some find the roads challenging and are surprised by informal local fees collected along the way.

"One of the most beautiful views of the city. You can drive up or park your car and start hiking on one of the many different paths on the way up."

Lina Molina

"We drove as far as a woodland of Eucalyptus ( rough road , go easy ). From here we hiked uphill for a good distance until we reached scattered Polylepis trees. Spent some time here & observed a small flock of Grey Hooded Parakeets. Only people we saw were a local couple collecting herbs. Impressive scenery ; towering peaks , distant views to Cochabamba.
On leaving we were halted by a small child & adult pulling a rope across the road. We had to pay a small fee.
At the time I thought it was a scam but I read others have had to pay , too.
Didn't get offered a receipt! Ha! Ha!"

Keith Hainge

"Close and large park ideal for mountain biking 10km uphills is a bit challenging"
