What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Visoko Pyramids a unique experience, with the hike to the Pyramid of the Sun summit offering rewarding panoramic views. The Ravne tunnels are noted for their reported tranquil energies. However, some visitors express skepticism about the 'pyramid' claims and mention confusing parking and ticket situations.
"⛰️ Pyramid of the Sun - A Steep but Rewarding Hike in Visoko 🌄
Visiting the Pyramid of the Sun was a memorable experience and definitely worth the effort if you enjoy hiking and panoramic views. The great thing is that you don’t need a guide to get up there. In fact, I wouldn’t recommend one, since all the information you need is already available on posters along the way up.
If you plan to hike all the way to the summit, be prepared: the trail is super steep, there are no signs or proper walkways, and it’s very much at your own risk. It took me around 45 minutes to reach the top, and I’d strongly advise wearing good hiking shoes, definitely not slides or sandals.
That said, the reward at the summit is absolutely worth it. You’ll be greeted with a beautiful panoramic view over the city of Visoko, making the climb both challenging and rewarding.
For adventurers and hikers, the Pyramid of the Sun is a great stop. Just come prepared, take your time, and enjoy the unique scenery at the top."

"This has such natural beauty. The surrounding park is well-maintained, featuring greenery, meditation areas, and walking trails. Guided tours through the Ravne tunnels are available, where some participants report sensations of unique energy or tranquility. The climb to the summit is steep and can be challenging, but it rewards hikers with panoramic views of Visoko and the surrounding landscape. "

"A little confusing - the pyramid and the tunnels are not the same location (as it can seem online). The pyramid is worth a visit as you get to climb up through the forest, with stunning views over the city and surrounding area. There is parking right next to the entrance - ignore the woman and her daughter harrassing you further down and telling you to park, if you keep going up the road (just follow the sign for the pyramid) there is parking right next to the entrance for 2KM, which feels much safer and less of a scam attempt. Entrance is 10KM with a tour, but if you ask for a ticket with no tour it is only 5KM, in my opinion its better as you can go at your own pace, enjoy the tranquility of the area, and the sign boards have all of the information you could want anyway. The walk is quite tiring - it is up concrete steps however is very steep, and to reach the top it turns into a hiking trail (so you would need proper shoes to reach it). Do I feel healed by the frequency? Is it really the worlds largest, oldest, most accurate etc pyramid? Is it just a conveniently shaped hill turned into a tourist attraction? You can decide for yourself - either way though it is a nice area to walk, a good view and a fun way to spend an hour or so while passing through Visoko"
