What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Congonhas Airport is praised for its convenient location and efficient domestic flight operations, offering thrilling landings with city views. However, it's often described as overcrowded and dated, with limited seating and scarce English announcements, making the passenger experience less comfortable during peak times.
"A well-located airport with a smooth and efficient experience for domestic travel. The proximity to downtown São Paulo is a major advantage, making it a convenient option for quick trips. The terminal is clean, with a decent selection of restaurants and shops for a regional airport.
Security and check-in are generally efficient, but the airport can get very busy, especially during peak hours. The runways are short, so landings and takeoffs can feel intense. Limited international connections, but for domestic flights, it's a solid choice.
Overall, a great airport for short-haul travel, but expect crowds and occasional delays."

"Fun airport to experience with many flights operated in a relatively small space and exciting safe landings with hard braking. Appears to have 12 jetway gates upstairs and gates 13-22 downstairs are bus loading type gates. Easy transfer here. Compared to passenger volume, the number of eating places inside security seems on the low side of normal. I did not notice any non-Brazil branded restaurants, just fine of course. Plenty of seating and wide concourses. Main negative is that the downstairs gates waiting area is dark as a cave, the few lights present are partially obscured by cloth / netting related to some kind of maintenance or ??? Anyways a seemingly efficient airport."

"Probably one of the worst airport to operate thought but at the same time one o Frye most beautiful passenger wise due to it’s amazing views of the city during take off and landings.
This airport is overcrowded and outdated although they’re renovating everywhere it lacks lounges, bars, seating area etc
I simply could make myself a seat. Horrible!!"
