Visitors appreciate the well-maintained trails and facilities at Fazenda São Bento, though some find the entrance fee to be on the higher side. The intensity of the trail is a consideration for some, particularly families with young children.
"Beautiful waterfall that you can check out via the platform they built in front of it, or go down for a swim for another perspective. We really enjoyed getting into the water on the top of the waterfall, what is called the "pools" (piscinas). They price for a while day was at 70 R$ per person when we went there, which is wui te but, but if you stay the whole day and visit the other waterfalls as well, it's actually fine. We visited it on a Monday 9 o clock in the morning and there was literally no one else there! Recommend it 100%!"

"This was the first fall we visited in Chapada and the one with enjoyed the most. The trail is intense but short. You can swim and enter under the fall! And the scenery is amazing."
Cristiana Roviralta Dias Baptista
"The two waterfall complex at Fazenda São Bento host natural pools and very nice tracking (not more than 2kms). It might not be suited for kids because the trail gets somewhat steep at some points, but over all it is of easy to medium level. When we visited the complex rainy season was upon us and the topically 6m deep Almécegas I was as deep as 11m so swimming, as well as not getting soaked were out of the question. None the less, the visit was well worth it."

The Magic of Fazenda São Bento
Visitors often praise the farm for its well-maintained trails and the opportunity to swim in both the main waterfall's pool and the natural pools situated above Almécégas I. The entrance fee, while noted as being on the higher side, is considered worthwhile for the full-day experience and access to multiple attractions. The presence of a cafe and restaurant adds to the convenience, making it a comfortable spot for a day trip.
When planning your visit, remember that water levels can fluctuate significantly between the dry and rainy seasons. During the rainy season, the waterfalls become more powerful, and the pools can become deeper, which might affect swimming conditions but enhances the dramatic visual impact.
Navigating the Trails and Water
Swimming is a major draw at Almécégas I. The deep pool at the base of the waterfall is perfect for a cooling swim, and the natural pools at the top offer a more adventurous experience. These 'piscinas' provide a unique vantage point and a chance to relax in the clear waters. It's advisable to wear appropriate footwear for the trails and to be mindful of slippery rocks when entering or exiting the water.
It's worth noting that during the rainy season, the water depth can increase considerably, as experienced by some visitors who found the typically 6m deep pool to be as deep as 11m. This can impact the swimming experience but also adds to the raw power and beauty of the falls. Always check local conditions and heed any safety advice provided by the farm staff.
