What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning natural beauty and unique experience of hiking through the riverbed at Cânion Malacara. The crystal-clear pools are a major highlight, offering a refreshing reward. However, many stress the absolute necessity of hiring a guide for safety due to challenging terrain and unpredictable weather.
"If you have experience with simple trails you dont need to go with a guide. BUT. you need a good gps. I used the garmin 66sr NOT a phone gps. There is no signal. Its hard to find the trail sometimes, especially when crossing the river. Snake protection is recommended and dont touch anything. Go long sleeved, and with long pants, vegetation is dense. Families or non biologists, I strongly recommend a guide. especially if there is rain its dangerous quickly so you need to be able to ‚read‘ the sky and weatherforcast.
